Film submissions for the 2026 film festival open April 1st.

Submissions are accepted from any Midwest filmmaker* (please see rules and eligibility). Filmmakers can apply through FilmFreeWay starting in April 2026. 

*We accept films from filmmakers living (or going to school) in the Midwest. We are also open to films that take place in or are grounded in the Midwest. If you are unsure if you are eligible, please don't hesitate to reach out to us because our goal is to support Midwest filmmakers.
